This business has been in existence since 1990. The current owners have owned it for almost three years. It operates as a sole proprietorship. There is no real estate included as part of the sale as the business operates via mobile communication between the four vehicles which comprise the fleet. Administrative work is handled from a home office.
The Shuttle Connection is the only company in the area that operates an on-call service for locals and visitors who require transportation within the Lincoln-Woodstock area, to all points in New Hampshire, airport transfer service, and charters. The business has a very loyal local and visitor clientele and enjoys a solid reputation of offering a professional, responsible, and punctual transportation service.
Demand in the Lincoln-Woodstock area is seasonal, as it sits in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountain region, a popular tourist destination. When the tourists are here (June through October and December through March, roughly), transportation demand is at its highest with ski shuttle contracts, airport transfers, and charter business. During the off-season and winter midweek periods, the Shuttle Connection relies on its local clientele, creative charter business for sporting and entertainment events, casino junkets, shopping trips, etc.
The Shuttle Connection operates 7 days a week, 24 hours per day (by reservation), and 12 months per year, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Generally speaking, tourism destinations all over the country have found visitor numbers down in the last few years. Inclement weather has bolstered some rider numbers for local transportation as guests finding themselves in the area during rainy times or extremely cold periods had nothing to do but eat and drink if it was too cold to ski or too wet to enjoy the outdoors. The need for transportation from restaurants and pubs to home or rented properties increases exponentially depending upon the weather.

The Lincoln-Woodstock area is the center of tourism activity and population density on the Interstate 93 corridor, north of Plymouth and south of Littleton. There is a 20-mile radius within which the Shuttle Connection is the only company of its kind offering this type of unique transportation service.
As the business can be operated via mobile communications between the vehicles in the fleet, and administered from a home office with a telephone, supporting infrastructure is very mobile and flexible.
The condition of the vehicles making up the fleet is good to excellent. All vehicles are on aggressive preventative maintenance schedules and are repaired immediately as needed. A full list of the vehicles is included on the F, F, & E schedule in Section VI.
Due to external employment responsibilities, the owners have found that they are operating the business on a part-time basis, relying heavily on employees where they should be operating the business themselves. They have found that there is just not enough time in their schedules to operate the business effectively.
The current owners are willing to stay on and train for two weeks after the transfer of the business at no charge.

Positive revenue results could be immediately realized with increased marketing of creative charter opportunities, more aggressive pursuit of commercial transportation contracts, and 24 hour on-call service.
The current owners also believe that by spending more dedicated time to the business, minimizing the need for as many employees as are currently employed, new owners would be able to bring a lot of money directly to the bottom line or to them through compensation.
Current expansion opportunities in the Loon Valley with South Peak Resort and the Landing at Loon should positively impact visitor traffic and infrastructure growth in the Lincoln-Woodstock area. Obviously, this too could positively impact demand on transportation services in the area.
